I’m Blue

Waaaaaaaaaaaaazup errbody. I wasn’t planning on posting today but, here I am.

I made soup yesterday and didn’t take a picture. Tonight my dinner wasn’t that pretty so I didn’t take a picture of that either. However I did take a picture of my outfit. Here ya go.

In case you hadn’t gathered, I have an all blue room. No other colors please and thank you! This summer I had an epiphany, who ever does monochrome?? I spend so much time thinking about color combinations that I hadn’t even ever thought of doing just one color with different hues. Let’s just say that I love it. Can’t get enough. I’m thinking my next room will be different shades of red and pink, mmmm. For now blue is perfect. Maybe tomorrow I’ll wear all blue.

OOOooooh yeah. Spinach, sauteed mushrooms, pecans, daikon sprouts, balsamic vinaigrette.

I gots a lotta spinach right now. Eatin it errday. Rooooooooooooar it’s good.

Brown rice, baked tofu, sauteed kale and broccoli, homemade peanut sauce!

Today was a nice day. Took a reeeeeeeeeeeally nice nap.

Thought about how crazy life is for a while, while I washing the dishes. Things that I want to happen don’t. Things that I don’t want to happen do. Well actually that’s not true, I can’t think of any examples. BUT the first one is true. Maybe the thing to do is not want, just go wit da flowwwwww. Things that you would neveeeeeeeeer expect to happen do happen! That’s the kicker. Ah this is to crazy to talk about! I’m done here.

I think that I need to be hypnotized. The sound of anybody chewing anything makes me MAD. And want to throw up. I hate it hate it hate it. It’s becoming a problem. Putting that on my to do list.

Girl Talk!

I went through a wittle bit of an obsession this summer! I made videos and videos and videos of myself and friends just being ourselves, then edited them blindly to make em a little interestin’. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Eesa beena while!

I guess posting during the summer isn’t my style. No routine = no time for blogging?

This summer was the best one yet! I made a conscious effort to embrace every little morsel of time in Austin and lordy lordy was it a good ol’ time. Wore some cool outfits, bought some nice things, hung out with some real characters, went out a lot, made new friends, and smiled everyday. Lived da life man.

Now I’m back in San Antone doin my thing and you knowww what? It aint that bad. I’m just here to do school, so that’s all I’m going to do!

Blah blah blahhh

I can’t get the idea of self worth off of my mind! What is it?? It’s like everyone’s on a hierarchy and we imagine where we are compared to others. When people say that you could do better with someone else it’s because they think of you as “better” than that person. We perceive ourselves differently than everybody perceives us, and themselves. Patna let me upgrade u! Wus dat all about. I always put everyone else so high! I think everyone is great, which can lead to great disappointment. Most of the time I’m right though! A lot of people are great. I’ve been thinking lately that I need to reevaluate my self worth, but then at the same time I think that it’s pretty accurate. Sheesh…I just don’t know! (I would be interested in your ideas)

Umm I’m pretty tired so I’m a little uninspired. I am going to put up pictures of food that I have made!

Nom nom nom yummy salad! Ingredients are obvious. Those little yellow tomatoes rocked my world.

Whole wheat sweet potato gnocchi (!), homemade garlic/basil oil, mushrooms, onion, basil, little yellow tomatoes.

Broiled eggplant, sauteed kale, garlic, whole wheat orzo, dads famous sauce, almonds.

I ruv cooking!

Maybe I’ll start doing an outfit a day and a meal a day up on heeeeeeeeeeere.

My Life Is Perfect

Perfectly orchestrated, that is.

Everything, every little thing, that happens to me is in perfect unison with everything else going on in my life. It’s probably the same for you, too!

I lose friends when they’re not right for me anymore, and gain friends right when I need one. I run into old friends when they need someone, and people run into me when I’m due for a smile.

It happens when you start living mindfully, I believe. Or maybe it happens all of the time and the ones who realize it, realize it. Either way, it’s nice to acknowledge the ever changing current flowing in your life. Most things that happen, good or bad, will show their reason for doing so sooner or later.

School’s almost out for da summa! Gotta put on my working girl pants and smile everyday that I’m not in school. Wahooooo

Went to the carnival the other night! That is just the craziest place I’ve ever been. The whole thing is such a trip, the gaudy graphics, the janky rides, the cat calls from everyone and their dads, in other words, heaven.

Guys, listen, I’m an addict. An addict of sweet potatoes and lemonade.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww gimme some of dat! I mean the combination of sweet potatoes and yellow mustard makes me want to cry, it’s too good! I can’t stop eating it. And let me tell you, I’ve really mastered raspberry lemonade (sweetened with stevia, of course!). I got to witness, and capture on film, someting beautiful, the true bonding of raspberries and lemons.

You can’t write that stuff man. Too sweet.

Anywayssssssssssssssssssssss here’s what I wore to the carnival……….who knew that this would be soo out of place?? Not this girl…

Excuse my face. I really like this picture, while really hating it. Sometimes I feel like I don’t always have to look good, it’s not about being “pretty,” but it’s about putting a look together. Non-pretty is more intriguing, no?

I saw Grey Gardens the other night when it premiered on HBO…and wowww that movie is a doozie! So good. I’m slightly concerened though because I feel like I really identified with Drew Barrymore’s character and I’m like shizzz that’s me, and she’s crazy……………..I mean yiiiiikes. I want to see it again.

Uhm time to get to work now! Good-bye my chickens.

Who Do I Think I Am??

I don’t know why I do the crazy bold things I do and why I think I can get away with them! But I do, and I do. And always will.

Lately I’ve been itching to paint, and I’ve never done it before. I went to the art museum to study shading and techniques in paintings to get some tips. I went for it finally and this is what came out!

I think it’s pretty neat. I’ve been wanting to experiment making different colors too so that’s what this painting was all about. At the top I made each color seperately with thought and painted them neatly. Then I mixed the paints on the canvas and used different brush techniques, appropriately calling this
